Truck manufacturer Scania has launched a new 13-litre ethanol engine for the next generation of trucks. The engine meets the enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle (EEV) standard, which is slightly stricter than Euro 5, the exhaust standard being introduced in the European Union in October 2009.
